![]() The 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter which came with the headset adapter is failing to make proper contact. My Xbox one stereo headset adapter is having internal contact issues So I came to the conclusion that one of two things are failing: Next step was checking the software, everything is up to date. Then I went to the chat cable (Turtle Beach talk back cable) but that works just fine in an Xbox 360 party (I can both use the mic, and also hear friends in a party). I troubleshot my headset and eliminated that. My friends weren't hearing me through the party, and then eventually I stopped hearing them too (I could still hear the game sound through my optical reroute) I also wasn't able to hear the "beep" from pressing the buttons on the headset adapter. ![]() This same exact thing is happening to me, and I though it was my headset at first. Just the chat information is not making it through either my xbox one wired headset, or the original adapter I bought to use my 42's. Is it possible, or wise, to wipe the controller and start over? Can that be done?Įdit: I should add that when I hook up my Turtle beach x42's, I still hear the game sound and music, but that's coming from a different source, and not through the controller. I have two controllers, both of which claim there no updates necessary. Anyways, is this a problem that makes sense? I've further tested it by setting up a party solo, but I get no sign of my chat working at all while I talk, which I thought was strange. Once I plug it in, he can hear me, but I can hear nothing. If I'm on chat, I can hear the other person, and apparently he can hear me, as long as my adapter isn't plugged in. I pull the adapter off, and I hear her finishing her statement, and I hear my recording. I can no longer hear her or anything at all. I plug in the adapter again, I make the recording. I pulled the adapter and I heard the nice lady say to make a recording. Now, I can hear the game sound, and music and whatnot, but as soon as the adapter is plugged in, none of the stuff that you would consider "voice" is heard any longer. I cannot hear anything as long as an adapter is plugged into my controller. Ok, maybe a different version of other folks' problems, but I've narrowed it down to this.
